The Spoken Project by Buro Knapzak

The Spoken Project remixes spoken word with music. For the release of their debut album, Spoken by Dr. Birgit Lühr, they asked Buro Knapzak to create a teaser. To do this, they came up with a concept that fuses live action, typeface and animation. Finally, illlustration and editing give the music a representation both challenging and hypnotic.

Dutch based studio Buro Knapzak is as discreet as talented. They had created Universiteit Twente, a visual identity made at the request of Studio Dumbar to translate their graphical concept into motion design. Designed in a minimalist abstract vein, the vibration of these 3D molecules is both intriguing and complicated.

A creation that had won a FWA Video Of The Day, an award they had already won for their memorable spot, The Ambient Life. The spot depicts a world where communication technology is omnipresent, including their client's technology. The film is a success, the clean design inspired by safety instruction materials and the many interfaces work perfectly. One cannot help but detect a mild criticism of modern society as a world increasingly dehumanized.
