mmmh...cocomecs is the latest humorous glimpse of Emmanuel Linderer's universe. Produced by Mikros Image, these short animations were used as greeting cards 2010 by the company and to introduce DoMov label. "mmmm cocomecs are small absurd creatures that resemble us strangely !" says Mikros website. I would add these are ordinary situations experienced by extraordinary people. The unique framework of the action focuses attention on these charming and beautifully animated characters. Whether they take a shower or go to the hairdresser, the absurd is really the driving force behind these films. Without any dialogue, these little sketches take place in real set with some tricks perfectly integrated. For now, only two episodes seem to exist and I don't know if there will be others. That's too bad because the series is really endearing. |
